A TAP Air Portugal é a primeira companhia a voar com este novo modelo equipado com a cabine Airspace da Airbus, um novo conceito de cabine que pretende ser mais confortável e silenciosa.

The A330 combines maturity and reliability with the most up-to-date technology. The fleet consistently achieves an average dispatch reliability of over 99% and annual utilization of up to 6 000 flight hours. At the same time it is continuously improved by incorporating the latest technologies, to lower operating costs, increase efficiency, improve safety and enhance the passenger product — pioneering the 240-minute ETOPS, introducing RNP to wide-bodies, increasing the MTOW to 242000 kg (533 519 lb) and being the first aircraft to have line-fit connectivity for passengers.
The newest evolution to the A330 family is Airbus’ A330neo (New Engine Option), which builds on the A330’s proven economics, versatility and reliability while reducing fuel consumption by a further 14 per cent per seat. The neo’s two versions — A330-800neo and A330-900neo, share the same fuselage length of today’s A330-200 and A330-300 current engine option jetliners respectively. These aircraft incorporate latest-generation Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 engines, along with new sharklet wingtip devices and a new airspace interior.
